I've done my research, and now I am polling the real world.
2000 F-250 XLT with 7.3L 4x4 auto less than 50k miles. very clean. 1 owner, almost all records, clean carfax. dealership price.
what say you?

I wouldn’t want it as my only vehicle, motor/trans/axles will last nearly forever, the rest of the rubber and plastic stuff on it is likely rotted, cracked, or shrunk or at least will be soon.
That said I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see it sell for $25-30k depending on cab configuration and bed size. I saw a 1998 Dodge extended cab 4x4 with a 24v and a manual sell for $18k yesterday and it had 150k miles on it and no bed.

$26k - Crew Cab

In this market it pays to start high to see if someone will bite. Crazy times.

worth every bit of $25,000 the OBD port isn't working, no power to it. I had a diesel mechanic go through it pretty thoroughly..I'm not gonna buy without having the OBD port working so I can check codes.

I'm guessing you have, but just in case check the fuse for the OBDII.
Worth 25k easy, 30+ in different areas.

yeah, the dealership is fixing the OBD port..I'll get the codes and see whats up. the mechanic was pretty impressed with the truck..and the Original miles is 31k..apparently lowest all original 7.3 in the country..I'll probably jump on it unless something bad pops.

Check front axle seals to make sure they are intact. Fun job to replace...

I’d throw a new cam position sensor in it and get after it.
