being half blind i picked up a box of steel not lead shot for 12 guage at walmart. can i shoot it in something like a model 94 stevens single shot? well i know i can, but is it safe to do so?

I'm guessing it would be okay, Gus. Definitely wouldn't want any tighter choke for steel.
Just my two cents, hopefully someone more knowledgeable on the subject will jump in.

thanks. kinda my thinking too. paid about 6 bucks. could be a collectors item for 25. thought they were regular lead. got to looking at them and they're steel.

If you wanted them to hunt with or for pest control they will work fine. Your effect range will be shorter than lead.
