Awwww back at work. NOW I can rest... grin

Gopher sending thoughts and prayers your way man.

Dave and Pam - Good to see the slab finally poured. About time huh?

We had a good weekend at the lake. Lots of sun in the day and lots of lightening and thunder and rain at night. We had a heck of storm push through on Saturday night. 2 3/4" of rain and constant lightening and thunder from 1:00 am to about 2:00 am. The yard at the cabin had ankle deep water all over it on Sunday.

I got a message from the gopher. He's home with a fever and on meds. He has a virus and not heart related issues. Keep sending well wishes his way.

Will do. Glad it's not heart related

Yep, be here until the 25th.

Just talked with my DIL, over in South Africa. She says it's cold there. Not sure if she's started her hunt yet. GS grabbed the phone to talk to her. Son was on a business call so she's calling back.

Hey Bill,
I just noticed your sig line. I like it!

A quick update for everone on our Youth Day that my PF chapter is organizing. We have around 30 businesses/organizations that are on board with a bunch more that I expect will commit. Our activities so far are trap shooting, BB gun, archery, shoot/dont shoot course, casting clinic, dog training (two different trainers), bike safety, DNR Cons Officers, DNR Wall of Shame, Tomahawk/knife throwing, duck calling, Fur identification, turkey calls and blinds, Food plot prep, the PF shooting trailer, a professional exhibition shooter, boat safety, and ATV safety. I am almost positive we will also have a mock blood trail, taxidermy, shelter building, orienteering, geocaching, outdoor cooking, fire building, tree stand safety, gun cleaning and maybe a few more.

That is a pretty good lineup, eh? If you know anyone with kids within driving range of Alexandria, it will be Sunday, Aug 24th from 11 am to 4 pm. it is completely free and we will provide lunch and tshirts for the kids!

Gophergunner is going to help I believe, so it will be fun to meet him for the first time in person.

I didn't realize I was a topic of discussion here. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. Over the weekend I became very listless and lightheaded when ever I'd stand up or bend over. With the recent heart issues it's a concern. We were up north of Brainerd, and I decided to wait until I could get back to my care team in the cities. I also was getting sick with some kind of crud, which is a concern because they said I got the Congestive Heart Failure from a virus.

I went in right away yesterday and saw my heart specialists, and after a battery of tests, they said whatever virus I had was causing the problems, not an heart issues. Still running a fever this morning, but it seems to be gone this afternoon. I'll be back to work tomorrow. I'm very lucky that my work isn't physical-I'm an optician. You guys that are working more with your backs and hands really have my respect. I would have missed much more work if I was a laborer or tradesman.

Thanks for everyone's concern, and I am looking forward to getting up to see Berettaman in August to help out with his youth day project. I get the impression he would never ask for help-I volunteered to pitch in. If you guys have the time available, I'd be willing to bet he could use the help. Just the kind of stuff us Campfire guys do for one another.

GG, sorry to hear you were sick. I'm relieved that it's not another heart problem. Are you up and about again?

Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a concern when it's a virus, as that's what got me in the hospital in the first place. No dizziness yesterday, so I guess whatever it was, I'm over the hump.

Dave's obviously busy. Either that, or he's working so hard that's he's developed a severe case of "monkey butt" !!

whistle

It's alright, Paul.

I know that a business man has to roll with issues everyday.

This particular issue happens to be pretty important as we are talking about my floor. I do NOT want floor issues in my shop, not now, not 5 years from now and not 20 years from now.

Something clever here.
