Putting the little 30 hp tractor on our trailer tonight. Joey and I will head for chickenbuck tomorrow when I am done with work.

Haven't been there since we had too much snow to drive in there.

Our mission, mow some tall grass if possible with the 3 point brush mower mounted on the tractor. The mower is at camp, we will bring tractor and mower home after our work out there.

We have some serious mowing to do at home as well.

But as for tomorrow, it will be the first cutting of the year at the cabin, it will be ugly mowing. But we'll hit it again shortly with the good mower and straighten it out.

Change some batteries in the trail cams too! Get those suckers up and running.

I'm itchin to get to chickenbuck. It's been waaaaay too long. I have to get up there for one season or another this year. Muzzle loader at the very least.

I'd like to bring some lumber up and put a decent stand up where my ladder is. I have one hunter that can hunt now and one that won't leave my side so, I'm gonna needs some room! smile It's a good problem to have as far as I'm concerned.

That leads me to another good problem. I need a left handed rifle for a pretty little girl. I'm thinking .243 is the animal, but woudn't be opposed to a .223, 7-08. Something light recoiling.

She's 5' tall now and growing. I like the Savage Lady hunter a lot, but they don't come in lefty.

ND still has some connections to get some awesome brackets for building deer stands. Makes it way easier & not so much figuring angles & stuff.

Been a bad 3 days. Had a bad case of constipation. Went to the ER and got flushed out. Hopefully took care of the problem.

Uff-da Bill. My sympathies. That can be REALLY painful. And dangerous. Are you home yet? Hope you're feeling better.

I had the opposite problem the other night. Cheap beer and habanero goose sticks. sick blush No more needs to be said.

Tom - I got mama a mini mauser lefty in .223 and rebarreled to a 6x45. she LOVES it. it's 4/5ths the size of a regular rifle and fits her perfectly. wish we were closer I'd loan it to you to try.
I see them go up for sale on gunbroker every so often. usually .223 but sometimes 7.62x39. that would wollup some deers.

sorry to hear of the troubles Bill. sounds like it hurts!

Bill,
It would have been chaper to go eat some bad Mexican takeout!

What do those brackets look like? Could we possibly see a picture if it isnt too much trouble? Is it something that can be shipped?

I think I'm going to get her a savage lady hunter or a savage axis. We will see what fits her I guess. I want her to start out with a bolt action. I'm still keeping an eye open for a browning micro in a lefty as well.
