Maybe I haven't bought XTPs for awhile, but $.33 a bullet is not a good price.

They are gone now but I got them for .18 each.... a thousand of them. I have the most CCI 350 primers so I'll try them with H 110 and W 296. I do have some standard large pistol primers and will also use 2400 #9 Universal

I just got a Vortex Venom replaced (thanks Vortex) and a sweet action job done on my S&W Model 69. It's officially my favorite handgun now.

I just ordered 500 240 XTP from Powder Valley last night .30 each. I sure wish PV had an in stock only search function but my efforts payed off last night. I have not loaded full H 110 loads for .44 Mag in years but I have a good supply of CCI 350 primers so I have been loading H 110 for both 180 and 240 bullets.

It surprises me how well the Model 69 (with the X grips) manages recoil. I've read the S&W has upgraded newer revolvers so that they don't "shoot loose" like older .44s did, but until I can get a second Model 69 as a spare I'll still mostly shoot mid range loads in it. I have a scoped Redhawk that I'll likely never wear out. Load data shows 30 + grains of H 110 behind a 180 grain bullet. Even in full daylight the fireball that much H 110 produces is kind of epic....

I sent a PM to local-dirt when he was searching for .44 components and kind of swore him to secrecy about Acme Bullets. They limit buys to 500 240 .430 at a time. I just placed my 6th order with them over the past few Months so I'm stocked up now. Here is a link:

Starline Brass makes brass available for back order seemingly for only a few days at a time . The back order waits have been less than 2 weeks for my recent orders with them. Looks like they are not accepting order at the moment but keeping an eye on this link would likely pay off soon:
