Have to get my G2 trigger fixed, it’s way too heavy for precision shooting. Thinking of using Stratton down in Utah, I’m using some of his scope bases & like his work & dealing with him.

Here’s my set up G2 frame with a 21” T/C 22 Hornet barrel mounted in the black plastic carbine stock. Have a 6-24x currently on top as I’ve been working up a field load. I can get 3/4” MOA for 5 shots consistently bench rested off bags but it takes everything I have working around that trigger break.

With a clean 2.5 lb trigger this rig will be a true 1/2” MOA tack driver.

Anyone else had a T/C trigger done, results?

I've had HausofArms do three G2 trigger jobs for me. All turned out perfect and got my triggers down to 2 lbs.

I just ordered the springs from Mike Bellm and did it myself, really easy if you buy the spring pliers. I wanted 3 pounds and got just under that.

It's easy to do with the Bellm springs. I have done a bunch.

I just had them do one, but at 2.5 pounds, as it's for hunting.

I'm pleased with the result.

Note..

“Stratton Custom trigger jobs are accomplished by squaring up the top of the sear notch on a surface grinder, hand honing the face of the sear notch to the proper angle and a giving it a smooth even finish where contact is made with the hammer. Honing and smoothing other moving parts and replacing the factory trigger spring with a custom Sc spring to achieve the desired pull weight. I also do a complete cleaning of the receiver and lubricate all internal parts. Lastly, if installed, I adjust the trigger over travel screw”

He does a bit more than dropping a set of springs in, apparently.

Bellms are worth a try. If they aren't good enough, you can always have it cleaned up by a smith. I did a whole bellm kit and the difference is remarkable. I can guarantee I won't have light strikes anymore. That was what I was trying to fix. The trigger was a huge bonus.

Sorry if it came across as just changing out springs. A little stoning may be needed also. Just follow the instructions on Bellms page. It really is easy.
