Just got my BLR back from Neil Jones out in PA. Sent it in to reduce the trigger pull weight and smooth out the creep. Turnaround time was really quick. Door to door was about two weeks. Trigger went from creepy and 6.5# pull down to just over 3.5# pull with no creep after the initial take up. Very happy with the results.

Yes, he did one for me years back and it was like night and day, much improved.

Do you mind if I ask what he charged? For the life of me I don't know why Browning puts a trigger pull like that on such a nice rifle.

I paid about $180 a few years ago with shipping both ways. He did three triggers for me. Triggers were much improved but he needs to buy a new set of screw drivers because the screw heads don’t look very good after he was done.
One rifle, a BLR in .308 misfired a few times when I got it back. Neil swore nothing he did could affect the hammer hitting the primers. Tried some different factory ammo and it seemed to fire OK. Need to do more testing to make sure the rifle is worthy to take hunting. The other two, a BL22 and a .358 BLR have not been fired yet.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Good to know he is still doing them. He did mine about 10 years ago, and it is night and day to the factory trigger. It is very similar to a two stage military trigger, which I prefer, with a 3.5-4 lb break after the take up. I could shoot the factory trigger fine off of a bench, but the Neil Jones trigger makes field shots much easier. I missed a nice buck while standing in a tree stand with no rest, after the season I sent it to Neil. Have not missed a deer with that rifle since, and have taken quite a few, several off hand and a few more running. If I ever buy another BLR, it will go straight to Neil.

Forgot to add that I have had no reliability issues. As far as buggered screws I cannot say, as my steel framed blr has pins and no screws. Neil must have used a concave punch, as the heads are domed and he did not leave a flat on them.

I've owned two, a 358, and a 450. Both would misfire at times. My son in law has a 308 and his will misfire occasionally too. If you google it you will see a lot of guys have this issue. I originally thought it was a cold weather issue, but its not. To bad because otherwise I really like them.
