I recently bought a CZ 527 Synthetic Carbine in 7.62x39. I plan to sight the iron sights in a a inch high at 50yds. Should be pretty close to dead on at 100yds?
I did buy rings and a used Leupold VX 2 2-7. A couple of inches high at 100yds should be close to dead on at 200yrds?
Using PPU 123gr SP.

Don’t overthink it. I have the wood stock carbine. Love it. I sighted mine in at 100 yards and feel downright deadly as far as the open sights will take me. The beauty of that rifle is feeding it $5/box ammo. I shoot it a lot and am very confident with it.

You need to shoot at the different distances. As I recall, I think a 123 grain factory load will need to be sighted more than two inches high at 100 yards to be zeroed at 200 yards. You'll be fairly close, maybe a couple of inches low.

Sight it so it has a 10' lead on choppers at 50 yards. You'll still miss, but at least you tried.
I am..........disturbed.
