You're not wrong about the inflated sense of how difficult their jobs is. To be fair though, they probably shut up when you counter with bed pans because they think you are probably on the spectrum. Bed pans, diapers, and piss jugs are CNA b.itch work. RN ain't touching that shidt.

Several people have asked about being rude. I never meant to imply that I was rude, I just told the girl that whether I took the covid shot or not, was none of their nor the insurance companies business. It has nothing to do with my eye exam. I was wearing my mask, as required. I wasn't upset, loud, or argumentative. I just refused to answer the question and told her why.

Maybe other people wouldn't answer her question and maybe they didn't tell her why. But when she goes home tonight, she won't have to wonder why I wouldn't answer the question.

My VA doc, recently retired unfortunately, asked me the standard question "Do you ever feel abused at home?" When I hesitated she said "Only when you deserve it, huh?"

She was a great doctor. I miss her.

While I was a paramedic I only had one doc ride along that was worth a chit. ER docs rely too much on other people to do the work. The one doc I'm speaking of always wanted tp be a fireman but family pressure took him to med school. His first ride out with us was supposed to be 4 hours. He stayed overnight. He had a blast. We let him do some PM stuff he said he didn't get to do much in the hospital. Most hospital people can't relate to kneeling in cat piss soaked carpet to intubate someone and they can't relate to extricating someone in pouring rain and then treating them after that.

Poboy and I have same Cardiologist. He’s cool. He told me last week he’s knows as long as Im outside working or hunting I’m doing ok.

He also knows that he probably can’t prescribe many more drugs for me as he knows I won’t take em.

His nurse called while I was Presidio La Bahia last friday. She told me they were worried about my cholesterol being a tad high. I told her, "Hell I imagine! You ought to see what I eat!” She busted out laughing.

When I walked into the dr office this morning, I saw a new receptionist, so I naturally walked up to her window. Took my mask down, made a face, and growled at her. Her eyes got big and she didn't know what to say. Other receptionist heard me and looked up to see who or what it was. She broke out in a grin and whispered to the new girl, "Dont pay any attention to him.... he's full of schit". New girl laughing so hard she like to have fell out of her chair. After the exam, I had to go back and make another appointment for 6 mths. New girl asked if Oct 1 would be ok? NO, NO, NO, NO... that's the first day of bow season! Both girls got a laugh out of that and the new girl asked about a later day in Oct. Again, NO, cause bow and squirrel season will be open. So I got a appt on Sept. 30.

I just got through firing my doctor of 30 years. I didn't have any problems with him. I just didn't like the hospital he is involved with. I went with the local University Hospital. They are rated 1st or 2nd in the nation. I want to be prepared when the issue comes up. You can't walk up to these hospitals and expect them to roll out the red carpet. You need to feed them often.

Should have said, "well let me ask you a question, did you suck anybody's dick last night?"
