I'm the 2nd owner of this rifle and haven't shot it much other than to develop an accurate load with RL26 and a Nosler 115 BT that is 1/2" at 100 yds. It's been a safe queen and I'm passing it on to buy a different one now. I never did get around to sending it off for checkering. I did have the bolt spiral fluted by LRI.

The original owner's build info and description was:
"Custom Rem 700, 25-06
Fajen French Walnut stock with beaded cheekpiece
Checkered steel grip cap
Pachmayr pad
Kreiger 26" sporter contour, 1/10" twist, 0.685" at the muzzle
Pillar and glass bedded, free floated
Deep blueing
The action was trued and lapped
Weighs about 8#
LOP 13.5"
OAL 46.5"
Tuned factory trigger breaks at 3#
Fired about 150 rounds (I've fired an additional 60 on top of that)
Groups sub-MOA with the full range of 25 cal bullet weights"

$1650 shipped to you.

Don't tell me that. It might go back in the safe. I already have a list of guns I regret selling.

https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...loader-22-nosler-115s-25-06#Post12499828

I had started my load testing at 55 gr of RL 26, and went up to 58 gr. 3 and 4 shot groups were all in the 1/2” range.

These loads used Nosler brass and Fed 210M primers with the 115 BT

That is a nice looking rifle. I actually really like the flutes on that jeweled bolt. I’ve not seen one like this before. GLWS

Did the gunsmith who did the rifle put their name on the barrel?

One of the most beautiful rifle that has been posted in some time. You now have my interest, Any idea how much it would cost to checker it?

Not sure of current pricing for checkering and it would also depend on how fancy one would want to go. I had looked online and saw a few different websites with some really nice work - fine line, full wraps, ribbons, etc.

There’s a Facebook group also with pics of their work.
