I am looking for at least one and maybe two Leupold Rimfire scopes. Prefer 2x7x33 or 3x9. Prefer AO. Matte. LMK.

Thanks,

That’s too much scope for my uses.

FYI, the 2-7 isn’t AO

I didn’t know that. Thanks. Leupold seems to have so many models I can’t keep track. This is going on a WMR I just picked up so would want AO if possible. The other doesn’t have to be as it’s going on a 10/22 for my son.

Personally, if it were me, if I had one with AO and one without AO, I’d put the AO on the 10/22

Unless the 10/22 was a plinker, and the WRM was for presidium shooting

Just my opinion

Can you elaborate? I am genuinely interested in your reasoning. Not sure what presidium shooting is. I just thought that since the wmr has more effective range and will be used for varmint hunting then the AO would be beneficial. The 10/22 is an all around squirrel, trapping, four wheeler gun.

Sorry. I meant “precision shooting”

My reasoning is the AO is used to eliminate parallax

Parallax is harmful to precision shooting

So, whichever gun is used for shooting the smallest groups, would get the AO

Also, if you’re shooting past 100yds, a regular scope would work well since its parallax is usually set for 100-150yds

Bottom line, at least make sure the 10/22 has a rimfire scope

Sorry for the confusion

the 2X7 Leopold has the parallax factory set for 50 yrds. for most shooting with a .22 this is just right. if you plan on shooting at 100 yrds on a regular basis they won't be the best.

I use a Weaver 3-9x36AO
Unfortunately it’s been discontinued

I recently found another for a 10/22

Maybe consider broadening your search to include other brands

Rimfire scopes are hard to come by these days

I have a leupold 2-7 rimfire I'd part with. IIRC, it hasn't been mounted, but the shrink wrap isn't on the box any longer. I can check serial number for date of manufacture. I'll send you a PM.
