A recent poll taken among folks in Utah shows that due to the recent highly publicized “mass shootings”, 65% favor“universal background checks”. (that’s a nice way of saying banning private sales, and allowing a government database of who’s got what) Up to 34% favor banning “assault weapons”. (Whatever the government determines that to be) Utahns favor stricter gun laws I would imagine the figures nationwide would be pretty much the same. With the commies running the government, and a “propaganda ministry” that would make Goebles wet himself in glee, how long do you think it’s gonna take to stage some horrific event allowing them to ban semi autos and register everything else? Socialism cannot coexist with an informed society, especially when that society still contains the necessary tools to influence would be tyrants. Folks like me, who grew up in a free America, are going to need to be controlled and silenced, lest we wake up the useful idiots. I’ve been saying this is on the horizon. Some agree, some think I’m just paranoid. We’ll see. 7mm

What do you expect from a state that keeps electing Romney?
(I realize I live in a glass house, but I hoped for better from Utah.)

I live in Utah and I don't know many who feel that way. btw, most the people I know hate Romney too and we relish the idea of voting him out next go around.

Yeah but counter balance that with more record gun sales and carry permit applications. It really does seem like an infinite force vs immovable object scenario is coming and it could be ugly.

The biggest irony here is that there are record sales and permits, and everyone here knows the 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting, and everything to do with protecting yourself and your liberties. Meanwhile, the government is threatening your liberties at a break neck pace. The more and more invasive the government AND THEIR PROXIES get, the more guns and permits get in people's hands.

Polls are pure propaganda, just like everything else that comes from the media and the government. That said, the Government is indeed in the process of disarming America. This poll like many more to follow is just part of their plan.

Californian favored "Reasonable gun laws" until the Rodney King riots and they learned the laws applied to THEM,
I heard a story about a guy went to get a gun, they processed it and siad 10 day wait, He was like "I need it now," The law is only for criminals"....
And these zombies line up and eat from the media’s trough

In a perfect world it would make no difference how many people favored gun control legislation. The constitutuion is expilcit and would be the law of the land. The only way to change that would be to change the constitution for which there is a provision. The fact tnat there are restrictions on firearms ownership and acquisition only proves how compromised the court system has become. We are truly screwed. That is exactly the problem. The Constitution is already compromised for a promise of safety that never happened. The problem is essentially, bad guys don't follow the law. The left has incrementally employed the same tactic, until we find ourselves fighting for a right that "shall not be infringed"...

Gun owners on the east end west coasts have more stringent gun control laws already on the books . And we have been warning your states for some time now. We’re used to the “it can’t/will not happen here knee jerk reactions”. Or criticism about those same gun owners for “letting “ it happen there. We were also ringing the bell on the indoctrination system that was bringing more and more who would be tolerant to those socialist agendas. Only to be called bigots. Where we are today did not start in January.

That said, the Government is indeed in the process of disarming America. This poll like many more to follow is just part of their plan. Most all the time, they don't even cite a poll. They'll get on TV and just say something like "the majority of Americans want..." and insert whatever Democrat objective of the day. They just state it as a matter of fact but its all made up bullschit. Just like 90% of the made up distraction conspiracies they throw out there whenever they need cover for something.

"Keeps electing"? Can you please tell me how many times Romney has been elected in Utah?
As to the thread topic, there is no such thing as an honest poll any longer. Including elections.

That poll doesn’t appear to line up with recent record gun sales, which would be a harder stat to fake.

Still no escaping the fact you'se did blow it and are now suffering the endless consequences. On a positive note, there seem to be some "woke" folk waking up now to what is REALLY happening.
