I've been playing around with my Tikka stainless 6.5x55 , 22" Bbl & the Barnes 127gr LRX. The load I've worked up to is 50grs Rel 19, Win LR primer & Rem. brass. LOAL 3.165. My chrono say 2901 fps. No pressure problems. Excellent accuracy. Was wanting to compare what others might have ...?
Whats interesting is my 22" Bbl 260 Rem with the Badlands 6.5 125gr mono & 47.5 gr Rel 26 & a CCI #250 mag primer give me 3032fps. Haven't tried Rel 26 in my 6.5x55 but maybe I should.

I have some 127 gr LRXs I was thinking of loading for my 6.5 Manbun. Right now I’m leaning towards H4350, but I do have a pound of RL16 I may try instead with them. I don’t have enough RL19 to do crap with at the moment or I’d go that route. If I could ever find some RL26, I plan on scooping more than just a pound of it up.

Haven’t tried the LRX in the Swede but I did in the Creed with RL17. I wanna say I got 2950’ish and good accuracy.

Tikka and 6.5x55 just screams tack driver. I can't imagine it being very difficult in the least to find a good load. I shot my old Carl Gustav m96 last saturday and with irons it manages 1 moa with 3 shots and 1.5 moa with 5 shots. Freeking rifle was shooting better than a lot of guys there using scopes.

It took me a bit of trial & error to get the seating depth right with the 127 LRX. Back & forth. Finally it worked out. No problem at all with the Barnes 120gr TSX/TTSX. Set at .050 off, load & shoot. super accurate @3002 fps with Win. 760 powder. Either bullet in the Swede is a fantastic load. Same in my 260 Rem. Love the 6.5. Deer , elk, makes no difference.

Where did you end up with the LRX relative to the lands?

Where I ended up in relation to the lands , I didn't measure. It was about .010" less than the 120gr TTSX. So that should put it somewhere around .040 off. The LRX are just picker at a depth setting than the TSX/TTSX. I have a couple rifles that absolutely refuse to shoot them no matter what the seating depth is or powder used. These are very accurate rifles with other bullets. I also found that when sighting in or working up a load ,only shoot two shots from a COLD Bbl. Let cool completely , then a couple more until sighted in. Another thing was that they seemed to shoot a much tighter group at 200 yds than 100. Once sighted in I could smack my 400 yd target every time. Never shot more than three shots from a cold barrel.
