OP MtnBoomer Campfire Kahuna Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 24,508 59644	I have thousands of these Roo bullets (and LRPs) and probably oughta use some... Getting to 4000 FPS is not necessary, LOL. Will be for a short suppressed bolt gun. Have the full range range of Ramshot powders on hand, though I'd prefer not to use my TAC here if possible... Is Big Game the one to try then? Any direct experience is appreciated. I'm a generic Campfire load junkie anymore. Critical thinking not needed.

No experience with such, and no interest really...but curious enough to run a QL powder profile.

I'd say Big Game or X-Terminator would be the best choices.

TAC, Big game, Hunter and maybe some exterminator.. I've had good luck with ramshot powder. Let us know how that big game works in the 243.. keith Campfire Tracker K Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 6,117	Big game should work very, very well. Play with primers, and try some 60g Sierra's if you have any. My 243 Win has zero freebore, and 55 whistle along very well at 4150 out of a 26" barrel. If you can find any, AA2700 with these bullets has one of the coolest heat indexes of any powder, which means that it burns in the throat much cooler. Varget worked very well with the 55's, but it is very rough on barrels and tough to get out of the barrel if you like cleaning down to bare metal.
