The first day can go both ways.

Don't give on the scouting and planning work you have done.

I do like the feather on his ride.

Made me laugh.

Not sure why you aren't calling. I've called in several Toms over the years that came in silent. Also, I've had situations where I never heard a gobble until I did call and then they hit it hard and close!.

This is day 3 on post for me.
Monday I was set up on suckchon Dz
On a double L break on the tree line.
Had 3 or 4 gobbling for bout an hour.
One came in on the opposite L on me bout 55 yds out .
Could see glimpses of him thru the brush and small trees.
Wouldnt turn the corner.
No shot....

Left the spot found a spot to set along the length of that L,s long leg for the next time, based on what they and hens were at that morning.

I couldnt move on em that morning cause they was all down in open hardwoods and mature pines

Found 2 big ole roosting trees ground with big ole white cheetos curl turds all over the ground.

Hopefully its open tommorow thru monday
Area 21.

Birdwatching and figgerin’ out trees and plant life helps pass the time. Took me forever to identify a climbing vine near my deerstands. Turned out that it was an invasive, not a native, and I’ve got one in my yard too, but without the berries like the ones in the woods. Euonymus fortunei.

I couldn't hunt turkeys without calling, and calling blind.

Fugg it....
See what happens.

Like ta get a hen yapping back.

Imitate every sound she makes.
Pisses em off, gets em wanting to look for the bytch on her turf.
Lotsa times she might have a tom in tow.

If someone is already parked, you go to your next spot. Basic public etiquette in such areas. The person you are making fun of was more polite than you deserved. You are describing yourself as the worst sort of turkey hunter.

Also, dekes are cheating. This explains the want for the high pellet count pattern. You don't know how to hunt. Might as well go buy your birds at the grocery store rather than play with turkey dolls.

Stop harassing other hunters and learn to sit to a gobbler with honor and respect. You'll get much more out of it than the silly game you are playing.

Good luck
I killed my second bird of the season Monday morning. He came in not saying a thing, it was 10:30. Went yesterday afternoon and only saw 2 hens. Saw more birds on the 10 min. ride back to my house than I saw while hunting for 4 hours yesterday.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
