Hey fans. Im in between traveling bowhunts and back in the shop answering emails and requests related to bowhunting and broadheads. I had a little time before the next trip down south to bow hunt long hair and woolly critters to further test some bowhunting products so I put together this video showing the differences in the sharpness produced by 3 popular sharpening methods. Then I put them under the microscope and in the Bess certified sharpness tester.

In the past, a few pugs here pouted and whined that watching my educational bowhunting videos puts money in my pocket. Rest assured, this particular channel is not monetized. There is no financial gain to me or my bowhunting company from viewership. I do it as a service to you guys that might be considering taking up bowhunting because I don't want you out there wounding stuff and eventually I hope to see a kill pic from somebody here that actually took an animal with a bow. Im here to teach and help you find success. You are welcome.

So enjoy this instructional video and make sure to ask as many questions as you need. I wont be too responsive but eventually I will find time to circle back . I'm still trying to find a Canadian Moose hunt but the borders are still closed so Africa might be my only bow hunt outside the USA this year. Ive completed all the events for the WBH and WBHF and WTA To help them financially so the only event left this year is the Pope and Young Convention in Reno in July.

Keep the whining and complaining to a minimum............................... Oh who am I kidding? That's the norm here and it makes me laugh. Your insecurities are very loud. You lashing out tells me a great deal. grin

Your pal
The Adventure Bowhunter

interesting, myself i learned one -two sharpening method first use a Nickerson mile/bastard file thin the Zwickey blades down some, then use the roller method to finish head ,this method makes a saw tooth sharpness that really cuts well and leaves plenty blood on the ground .thanks for the video very interesting,Pete53

Did you bump your head on the bait bucket again Ron?

Doesn’t surprise me to see a poacher trying to steal the accomplishments of a hunter like Tom Miranda.

Sad.

Some steels keen up better than others
Had good results w files and diamond plates.
But eventually got into a batch that just wouldn't get shaving sharp.

Lost the knack?
Doing it wrong?
Diff steel?

Eh, i just file to angle I want, then do med and fine plates and final up w leather strop.

5 mins a head, wicked sharp. IMHO that strop is the ticket

I use Zwickey broadheads and sharpen using crock sticks, never had any issues getting them shaving sharp.

The difference is youre not in here trying to constantly pimp your products. He would be on "real" bowhunting forums if he hadnt been banned from them all. Hard to imagine why. Lmao

Well, this is about the only outdoor forum that allows titty pics. You reckon he got banned for posting titty pics on those other forums?
