If I had need of a bigger than.44 Magnum revolver, I think a .480 would be ideal. As it is, I have no practical use for a hand cannon, so my.500 S&W fills that non-need perfectly.

That's exactly the same load I use most of the time.
My full house load uses a case full of Lil' Gun...

I know I keep missing them, but after having the 480 for awhile I Really want one of the BFR’s in 500 JRH. These big revolvers are just too danged much fun.

I don’t have a 500 JRH, but certainly think it is the .500 cartridge of my choice. I am often tempted to buy one. But have ample 480 and 475 revolvers.

I think I’d like it quite a lot. After banging a bunch of ammo through the 480 I can’t help but think 440’s at 900-1000 FPS would be just as much fun.
