Colorado Primary draw application deadline extended until Friday, April 9 at 8 p.m.
Hunters hoping to draw a big-game license in Colorado in 2021 will now have until Fri., April 9 at 8 p.m. MT to apply in the primary draw due to volume-related technological issues that kept some hunters from being able to apply before the original deadline of April 6 at 8 p.m.

Gotta "reward" all those folks who waited until the last minute to apply. Put in my app with 2 days to spare.

Extends the revenue generation opportunity for CPW.
Im surprised they don't allow applications right up to the point where they run the processes to draw. You would think that with everything online that the programmers could set the system up to stop taking apps and start the draw process almost right away and there's no need for this waiting period.
Another thought is hardly anyone put in...could we be that lucky?

Pretty ridiculous!! They should’ve extended it only 1 day instead of 3.

As a resident, I expect not to draw again this year with three points for a zero point unit.

I recall more than a few years ago that the server went on the fritz one Friday before opening day and there was quite the clown show at License vendors until it came back online. Lesson learned: Never wait until the last day to buy licenses. YMMV

The reason was a glitch in the system. I had put in my mine on the 4th and they did not register. Found out on the 8th, very thankful for the extension. Typically keep hard copies of the emails with the order numbers but Yahoo mail also had a glitch could not check email for a couple of days and found that no emails for the first through the 6th were showing up, skipped from the 7th to March 31. Went to CPW office and found out there was no record of my order. They placed orders there in the office.

I've only been a Colorado resident for 11 years. But it seems every year there's a glitch in the system. I used to set my watch on left over days knowing I'd have to stand in line for hours as the system would drop in the first 5-10 mins due to overuse. Of course by the time it was my turn the tags I was there for were gone. I didn't have the patience to show up at 2am to be in the first one through the door. But at least then I had a chance as I was going as a smaller population sample of just Colorado. Now it's a knife fight for tags and the residents at least in my neighborhood are not winning. No one I know has drawn first choice in these past two years. Now with the changes yet again, to the returned tags it's going to be really rough to pull a tag if your unsuccessful like I've been the past couple of years.

I guess I have to call Bull Chit on not drawing a 0 point unit with 3 points. You ever pay attention to the Drawn Out Report? Obviously errors on your application or not paying attention. We don’t need any whiny little schoolgirls, but then again, there you are.....

Don't know why I checked back on this thread. I thought maybe, perhaps you'd apologize for calling a total stranger a liar. No, you doubled down on being a dick, hiding behind the anonymity of the internet. Don't bother responding as I have you on ignore like your twin brother Big Stick.

I drew 2nd choice b list cow tag, private land archery deer, eastern Colorado pronghorn with one point, and will hunt otc archery elk. The system isn’t perfect but there are lots of hunts to be had.
