They almost always flog the flopper, in my times out. Guess they think someone is crackin a hen. But often the are 2 or 3 toms on the scene. Funny to see jakes run in to get a jab in on a dominate bird. LOL
I had a spike buck attack an 8 point I had down. Kept gouging at his white belly fur. Had to wave it off after a couple mins. Though he was going gut him for me.

I’m thinking about trying Power Bait with a spinning rod. Why not offend two factions of purists at one time?
Best to shoot them with a rifle is well before season, all bachelored up still. Recommend 30 round mag.

Set up a buncha june bugs tied off with fishing line to a swivel stake.
Get hens running around in circles after em. Toms be chasing the hen that is chasing a june bug.
Some of the funniest schit is watching hens out bugging in fields.

We used to fly June bugs on sewing thread. Poor kids’ Thimble Drome.
Used ta catch horse flies as a kid Shove a 2 or 3 inch peice of straw grass up its butt a little. Act like a rudder .. Gaining altitude straight line up into the stratosphere.
