Got to doc on Monday. Got this constant ringing in my ears for couple weeks now. Any experience and advice would be helpful

Had it for many years. No real cure (avoid the voodoo stuff out there). There are ways to lessen the aggravation. Audiologists may offer some relief techniques.

White noise at night.

I've had it for a few years now. Most of the time I ignore it and don't notice it much anymore. Now that you mentioned it, it's pretty annoying - - - ya bastard.

Get used to it.

If it went away, I'd probably go nuts from the silence.

one of the side effect of smoking cigarette is reducing the white noise , looks like the cure is worse than Tinnitus.

After months and months of shelling North Vietnam, a lot of gunnersmates from the five inch gun mounts are reeling from ears ringing.
Couple buddies of mine say it's just like they stepped out of the mount. Navy offered no ear muffs back then.

Its not fun but outside noise can help. I dont notice it when people or “outside” is going on. I have a couple computers in my bed room and the sound of the towers running drowns it out. Helps me concentrate on something external rather than internal. Not much you can do but find something that is soothing but not irritating. Its gonna take a lil time but it can be managed. You got this. Just find what it takes.

My ears been ringing for 20 years and I am 37.

I got a hold of an old colt 1911 and a box of ammo when I was about 15. Went through it shooting out of a garage. Ear's have rang ever since.

Coupled with some scar tissue from ear infections and tubes, and generally being an idiot about ear protection, the hearing ain't what it's supposed to be.

I make my kids wear muffs when they ride on the mower with me.

My right ear is really bad from the army. It's very annoying and for me really bad at night when I can't sleep. Nothing you can do to stop it but something that helps me at night is having a fan on. The hum of the fan is enough that the ringing isn't as noticable and the fan isn't loud enough to bother me. Hope it helps

Look at the bright side, you will never truly be alone because you will still hear something.

Both sides for me, can still hear fine-ish but have lost some of the higher pitches...plus side to that is that those higher pitches tend to be female and irritating.

Sounds like a swarm of lucusts in my head 24/7. Sucks azz most of the time. When I am wearing my hearing aids I hear sounds in don't normally hear so it's not quite as noticeable.
