I really liked my standard p365, but wanted to put a red dot on it. I get law enforcement pricing from my LGS and they got a p365 XL in and called me to dangle it in front of me. I bit.

First question, I am leaning toward a Holosun 507K-X2 for a red dot; does anybody here know of any reason NOT to use that optic?

Second question, which IWB holster to get? I've not yet gotten with the times and still carry in the 3 o'clock to 3:30 position. I might go with a VM2, but if I do, I'll still need a holster for the next 6 months. What are you using that you like?

Thanks!

I just put that that Holosun on my P365XL but haven't shot it with that sight yet. I do have another Holosun on a P320 that has been great so far. I have a Vedder light tuck for it, and also recently bought a Mitch Rosen OWB leather holster from the Sig Store. I have a couple of VM2's for other pistols and find it more comfortable than the Vedder so would probably go that route if starting over.

I have three Holosun 507k's on a couple P365XL's and a P365X. I also have a 507k on a Glock 43X MOS and a 507C on a Gen5 Glock 19 MOS. I also have Holosun 510C's and HS530G's on AR's and never had a problem with any.

As far as holsters go, I like the Celtic Wee Deluxe best, followed by PJ, Vedder Light Tuck, and the Tulster Profile. The Celtic looks kind of bulky, but it disappears and is the most comfortable holster I've ever worn. The pivot point lets it move with your body when you sit, stand, bend over, etc.

VM2 is HUGE overkill on a gun the size of a 365.

TXC Holsters X1 model is very good; you can carry it AIWB or IWB. About $65 with a concealment wing

Blackpoint Tactical stuff is good if you can get it for more $$$...............I thought they went under, maybe not.

Vedder is OK.

Remora just flat works very, very well for a gun that size (re-enforced mouth version)

Don't know about a 365. But, I carry a 365 XL in a VM2 every single day. Very comfortable.

Well, obviously, the VM II will easily carry the 365XL, which is considerably bigger than a standard 365, but the VM II is a lot of leather for a gun that size & weight as was really designed around guns the size & weight of 1911's of various sizes.

If I'm going to carry a gun as small as a 365, i want a lighter, smaller holster to complemet the entire package.

Not much is more personal or individualized than holster preference...................guess that's why there are so many.

Thanks for all the info. I just ordered a Celtic holster to try as well. Looking forward to giving them a try

I have a pjholster appendix carry with a small claw. I like it a lot, a simple, well thought out holster.
Took me a while to get used to appendix carry. Once I realized I wasn’t going to shoot my junk off it has become my preferred method for small pistols. I don’t use an optic on carry pistols so no help there.

JT Holsters does great work.

Not sure if he has a website now, but he is in Instagram.

Gary @ Brommeland Leather

Sneedville Tn.

Been using his stuff since the mid/late 1980’s
NONE better
Long wait list however
Has phone #, great guy to talk with.
Returned a IWB from the 80’s to him
cause I screwed it up, trying to adjust the
Steel retaining clip ( broke off inside the holster)
Fixed it, refinished it, all at no charge.

There are plenty of good holsters out there
Milt Sparks, et al, but you will do no better
than Brommeland Leather.

I carry a 1911 commander, forget it is there
His OWB mag holders are awesome w/extra loop
on backside.

In leather, I agree.............i have several of his holsters &, IMHO, they are better than Sparks because of thinner, stiffer leather.

But as I said earlier, that 365 is a small gun & something like the VM II or the Brommeland Max-Con V is overkill in a gun that small...........again, JMHO.
