I had one of those many moons ago. Good shooter. Don't remember what I did with it. Traded it off on something no doubt. Oh well.

Havlin sales is your source if you need anything for that rifle. That looks to be an exceptional example of that model. Should shoot well. I had a 44 US that shot very well. Enjoy, nice snag.

If it’s not in too poor of taste, may I ask what you had to give for that rifle?

I don't know if it's in poor taste or not I gave $4C for it.....

That's likely top dollar, but I've not seen a nicer one, with ALL the parts and mags..............

I did sell a 10-22 last week for $450 at a flea market......... it was a nice one, deluxe model, 1973....

You gave top dollar but not over paid in my book. Looks like seller and buyer were both satisfied.

Mossberg rimfires and bolt action shotguns were overlooked by collectors for a long time.
Even just 10 years ago they were still dirt cheap, when you could find one.

The price you paid for that 42M was excellent, considering it was complete with scope and magazines.
I wish I could stumble on something like that.

You did well muffin. I have an appreciation for the old Mossberg 22lr rifles. They sure do shoot well. Some guys at my club shoot these in the iron sight division. They damn near keep up with my 52B, so I have much respect for them.

NICE find!

That had to have sit in the closet or gun cabinet and see LITTLE use.

Finally got to the range with the Mossberg:

Lower five shots freshly cleaned gun and just bore sighted, adjusted scope for elevation and shot three...

Adjusted scope for windage and shot five... smile
