At least the board holding the ball is flat sawn. That should give a other 10-20 MPH before failure.

Hey Storm - many moons ago we were living in Galena, Ak, in AF base housing, but rented out to school district. Our unit was 3 apartments.- we were in the middle. I had a 100 lb lab who would ask to go out at night. Somehow he learned which was our bedroom window and would woof quietly back there in front of the window when he wanted back in, then run around to the front (only) door. One night I let him back in , and he was looking real guilty - and promptly threw up 5 lbs of very fresh hamburger. 6 weeks later our left hand neighbor Mike mentioned something about wanting to find the SOB that stole the hamburger off his front step, where he had set it out to thaw. (And being drunk most nights, had forgotten it) I told him " Gee, Mike, that was so fresh when the dog threw it up, if I'd known it was yours, I'd have put it back". And I would have.
