Yeah, you’re not alone. I just picked up an unfired 99-358 Brush Gun a few weeks ago, from the original owner. I am still smiling.

I like my new 358 also, eager to see how well it shoots. I load 180 Barnes for mine.

Congrats man. I have mine. It works on whitetails for sure. Had a possibility on a black bear in defense once. Not worth explaining. But who knew black bears were around and not hibernating in Misery in November? All we saw was a back end changing counties. That was fine with me. Probably would have done jail time even if a defensive shot. Be Well, RZ.

If Savage hadn't made the 99 in 284, the 358 would be my only hunting rifle.
