Looks pretty much like a safe queen. I like the old dark stocks like that one.

The scope mount is a Griffin & Howe, I have one on my 1952 vintage Super Grade.

Just an awesome,classic combo. I could be very happy with that as my only hunter...maybe change the scope for something newer. I have a Leupold 3x NIB from the custom shop that would work. Love the side mount.

The scope mount is a Griffin & Howe, I have one on my 1952 vintage Super Grade. You are correct. I prefer the Stith mount but this one wa likely put together before I was born so I had no say in the matter.
