The "big city" police chiefs in TX speaking against the measure are not doing so from a position of better knowledge or because they want to protect the public. Every time legislation comes up that is Pro Gun, Pro 2nd Amendment, etc, the anti-gunners fearmonger the public with woes of "Blood running in the streets"...
But it never happens that way. In the vast majority of cases, states that allow more gun freedoms see a decline in the crime rate.
While the strictest gun control states and cities are the ones with the highest murder rates.
