Seems only their very bottom tier product is Chinese, but maybe I missed something. If I were in the market for something in the price range, I'd go Korean or Philippines; at least those are democracies that aren't openly and actively trying to undermine our freedoms and purloin our intellectual properties. And, I've had good luck with most every Bushnell offering I've used through the years.

In addition to the lines made in S. Korea and Philippines, the Elite Tactical line is made in Japan.

I'm on board with the no more chinese optics attitude. I know it's a drop in the bucket, but I'll choose other options while we still have options.

Take Burris for example. They're making major shift to build it all in China. Why buy a Burris? They aren't that great, certainly better options out there... buy their Chinese junk so the CEO can get a fatter bonus?

I've not seen any anti-Chinese people comments here, so I am in favor of you staying the course.

Jordan:

I've had great luck with the Japanese Bushnells through the years. Currently running a couple LRHS's, a few 1" Elites from years back, and a few older gloss Japan made low power units on levers. Also have a pair of their marine marketed binos that have great glass and have taken a pounding laying in the front hull of my great lakes boat for near 10 years. All have been solid. Wish I'd have picked up more 1" Elites when they were on close outs. Tough, 1", vanilla hunting scopes seem to be in shortish supply as of late.

Don't have a lot of experience with their lower tier stuff, but it seems to get good reviews and, as mentioned, the couple guys I know running the S Korean iterations in various capacities are pleased with them so far.

I appreciate that. Good women are tough to find. This one’s the best of the three I’ve managed to corral so far.

I'm just going to boycott everything Beretta. They're likely calling the shots on Burris, and you can't be too safe.

That is not necessarily true. America is China's largest trading partner. Reducing trade with China would significantly reduce their revenue. Secondly, by not trading with them it would significantly reduce access to our technology and if we would simultaneously enforce our patent and copyright laws it appears China couldn't figure out how to manufacture a pencil.........

America is paying for China's military. Reducing that would alone significantly reduces the chance of military conflict.

I avoid anything and everything I can from the pacific rim, not just China! There are things I need and things that I just can't find made anywhere else but when I can I don't send a single dime that way. Been living that way for years and proud to do it!

I sure could go for some $2.50/gal gas and a mean tweet!

If enough people stopped buying Chinese optics to the point that it was not worth their while manufacturing them, very quickly those factories would switch over to manufacturing products that you will still be buying, embedded in products that you did not even know had Chinese manufactured parts in them. If it makes you feel better to not buy things made in China, good for you. But good luck finding enough of what you need that is not at least partially made in China.

The only 2 ways this dependency or "lack of choice" problem is going to get solved, if it ever does get solved, is 1) If the United states goes to all out war with China, all trade will be cut.
2) The United states will have to change it's government. Yes, good luck in getting that done, especially now that stealing elections is doable. The United States had a President that was working on this China problem until a way was "engineered" to remove him from office. You may find a leader with close ideals and skills, but good luck finding a leader with balls that big.

I have probably 25 rifle scopes. One of them is Chinese manufactured. I have 3 Chinese made Holosun red dot sights. These 4 optics have at least one feature that is not available on other non-Chinese brands, at least to me here in Romania. I will apologize to no one on these forums or anywhere else, for buying and using these sights. If you feel strongly that buying an occasional Chinese optic is willfully aiding and enabling the enemy, then there is a whole lot of other products you should stop buying and using. RJ

RJ, refusing to buy Communist Chinese products forcefully made by slave labor is a Good Start. Like 1000 Demoroids at the bottom of the ocean. It can’t all be accomplished at once. Government must be changed and that is coming. My fear is when stealing elections is no longer accepted by the American people the Socialist in charge will attempt to use military force to keep us from presenting our grievances to Washington in person. The result will be declaring war on the people in violation of the Constitution. At that point it would be guerrila warfare against an illegal government. That government would not stand and the result.......good I hope.

In the meanwhile are those few features of Holosun really worth YOU supporting Communism, and the people who profit from it? Really. Holosun needs to move manufacturing out of Communist control or die from lack of sales. Primary Arms is another.

I will never stop. Resistance begins with one person. Thank God we “one persons” are coming together. BOYCOTT COMMUNIST CHINA

Shootem, "In the meanwhile" does that car you're driving really worth YOU supporting Communism and the people who profit from it? You gave the Chinese way more money for the Chinese made parts in it than I did for those few Holosuns. RJ
