A buddy of mine in college hunted with one of those he picked up for cheap. That thing was a turkey killing machine!

I killed my first dozen or so turkeys with one of these in mossy oak. Mine was short barreled with a extended choke. Weighed a ton so shooting it was not as bad as you think.

i wore one out so bad it would break open on firing and the hanner would hit me in the nose. still have scars from it. killed a dump truck load of pheasants and pigeons.
think my nose just started bleeding. glws.

I have a NEF SB2 also but mine is in 30-06. It loves the 180gr core lokt MOA @ 100yds. GLWS

Yes you did. I put a 4x12x40 bushnell on it and I will take it deer hunting this year and give my Win70 a break..

What I started turkey hunting with and got my first turkey with. Yes a turkey stomper.

Were it the shorter model, I would jump on it as a backup. Prices have gone way up on these in recent years. They are heavy, but carry well due to the shape and being able to wrap your hand around it. I also "African carry" it quite a bit, I've probably walked a few hundred miles with mine.

Pain is just an intense form of pleasure. Not nearly the recoil as a pump 12 3.5" or a SBE with a 3.5" load in it.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

There is roughly 10 days left before our season opens. I have never hunted turkeys before but if this is still here I am going to give it a whirl.
