Took a day trip to deer camp the other day to put out the deer cameras. The area looked like it had been a pretty easy winter, did not have to cut put way to the stands the trails were open.

Not much activity in Dave's thread lately, so thought I'd add some walleye opener pics;

Walleye goes exceptionally well with beer. That I'll give you.

Give me walleye, beer, potatoes n garlic and rye bread with onions/butter.

Done.

Beer is always a starter, which ever way we prepare the fish.

We eat walleye roughly 4+ times a week.

Have prepared/cooked it about every way possible, for variety.

It's a little early and my head hasn't totally woke up yet but are those Mackerel, Paul?

Lake trout Rooster.

We caught about a dozen in total, over 2 days.

Limit is only 2 per, so we kept the first 4 we caught.

They were/are in really good condition, fat bastids !

What always blows my mind - I was at Pictured Rocks on Superior - if you're there at the same time - we're hundreds of miles apart or close to it - on the same lake. Love the Great Lakes.

Looks like you got some great trout there.

Wind, torrential rain & hail here, before dark last night.

Got about 30 trees down around the house, 1 across 2 snowmachines, hopefully no damage.

Everything else got missed !

4 vehicles, 3 boats, camper, tractor, lawn tractor, 3 quads & the ice shack !

No fishing this weekend, I think.
