Interesting. I'm sure the inevitable negro reparations will take care of the problem.

How do programs with no time limit help folks?
Unemployed? Here’s money for a year.
Don’t wanna work and buy food for your family? Here’s a ebt card.
I’m all for helping folks that need it. But they have to want to do better.
Needs to be a time limit. Get your chit together by xxx date.

You can't fix poverty with money, weird as that sounds, you have to teach to have them fix it themselves.

stop incentivizing people to have children they are not capable of supporting. you want money? show up at 7am at the public works building for trash detail, etc. plan to be there 9 hours and might be a good idea to bring a lunch. workboots and hi-viz vest will be provided. don't want to pick up garbage in your community for a living? well then, guess you ain't going to eat.

Why Government Programs can't fix poverty... The answer is simple...it is because "know nots" are in charge of the purse and if they want to stay in control they have to appear knowledgeable and trustworthy, so they form committees and take direction and advice from vested interests so they can point the finger when it all falls apart and proclaim they consulted "experts" in the field. Government employment is all about covering arse and looking clean. Private industry would just employ a real expert and do the damned job at a price point and pocket any left over...and still be way cheaper than .gov.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

You can't fix poverty because someone who can't handle a job more difficult than mopping floors at McDonalds isn't going to rise affluence. Doubling their pay won't fix it because it will only increase prices to where they're poorer than before.

Poverty is a characterological problem that you can't fix with money.

These so-called social programs are to make the recipients dependent on the ones handing it out, so they can expand their voter base and remain in power.

Interesting. I'm sure the inevitable negro reparations will take care of the problem. Nothing makes a better argument than a well produced video with a plaintive piano playing in the background.

The only government programs that are good it research and development, war materials and equipment, the space program, and that is about it. Any program to "improve" humanity does not take into considerations peoples feeling, lifestyles, religious beliefs, etc. In other words, they can't fix people. Only God can fix people through faith in Jesus Christ. Government can only force people to do stuff or keep them dependent on government programs which never get them out of poverty. Since 1960 when we had about 13% in poverty to today with about 14% and 4 TRILLION dollars later, and poverty still exists. Some people just don't want to get out of poverty.

The government now wants you to be poor; and with a sub-standard education. But don't worry, because they'll take care of you from cradle to grave with "low income housing", AKA welfare palaces, and a monthly check for those who don't wish to work. Combine that with free marginal at best health care and you can live your entire life as a poor ward of the oh-so benevolent state which is run by obscenely wealthy socialist oligarchs who boast about how they serve you and look after you.

Which begs the question, do they continue to shell out when it has been demonstrated that they no longer need actual votes to win?

I can't watch the video. Poverty is a mindset. Poverty took their stimulus check and bought disposable junk for entertainment, instead of doing maintenance on their transportation to get them to work.
