Have you ever sinned?

Then as anyone, you are condemned already.

Do you believe that you can be good enough to get to heaven some day?
Jesus told a very religious man,

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

He considers you to be condemned already if you think that any one of the things you mentioned so far grants one merit with God. They cannot pay for sin.

So, the solution is in the second link of my signature.
That is not my way. That is what God's Word clearly teaches.

If it's not visible, turn your phone sideways. The sig should appear. Link #2
(It's past my bedtime. We can pick up tomorrow if you want)

All of that is an avoidance to the answer of the question I asked.

Are we responsible to honor and obey Gods laws as specified through the ages and then ask forgiveness for our failings?

Or is it okay to simply ignore whatever rules and laws we choose then depend on our love for Jesus to give us a free pass to eternal life?

I mean really, queers, and lesbos, and pederasts, and thieves, and serial killers, and lovers of animals, and even (gasp) socialists can love Jesus and ask for forgiveness.

Will you be sharing Heaven with the likes of them? Will they still be practicing their habits in Heaven?

Dear God,

Please allow every State to open churches, so those who desire fellowship, can worship together under the Lords roof.

God, If you don’t want to open all the churches, please, at least, open the one HC attends, so he will stfu.

Amen

Most stop short of endorsing incest and beastiality. But we are told over and over again that Jesus did away with all old testament law, including the ten commandments.

I don’t claim to obey him, but you pretenders that say you know the way to be “saved”, and claim to obey him...ugh! Disturbing!

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind. This is the first and most important commandment. And the second is like it. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Everything that is written in the Law and the Prophets is based on these two commandments.” - Jesus

Some people didn’t like the things that Jesus said and did. The Jewish ‘religious’ leaders in particular. So they killed Him. Some people still don’t like the things that Jesus said and did.

Others choose to see it differently. That’s fine with me. Those differences don’t change the reality of Jesus or His resurrection in any way whatsoever.

Again, will you be sharing Heaven with the queers, lesbos, pederasts, animal lovers, serial killers, etc. And will they be practicing their habits in Heaven?

Okay, we can leave the pederasts and the serial killers out. They obviously are not lovers of their neighbors. But the rest of them are hurting no one, except offending some who are sensitive to their lifestyle.

Is it the sensitive types who are failing in the love thy neighbor department?

Oh yes, what about the Socialists?

I believe that anyone who does go to heaven will be sharing space there with other forgiven sinners. Good people don't go to heaven. Forgiven people go to heaven. People who have accepted God’s grace, by faith, and not because of anything else that they have or haven’t done.

Sin offends God, but I believe He is more broken-hearted by it than He is put off by it. And I believe that our own sin is harmful to us.

Jesus Himself is the one who said it, and He was clearly a pretty tough man.

They are sinners, just like you and I, and everybody else are sinners. It’s a big, all-inclusive group, regardless of one’s political leanings.

God’s Old Covenant was an agreement between Him and the nation of Israel. I’m not a Hebrew. I’m a Gentile. God’s New Covenant is an agreement between Him and all of the people in all the world. James (the brother of Jesus), Apostle Peter, Apostle Paul, and the elders of the church in Jerusalem...who were all Jews...clearly decided at the 1st Church Council of Jerusalem that Gentile followers of Jesus did not have to observe the Mosaic Law of the Jews.

The ceremonial aspect of the Old Covenant related specifically to how ancient Israel worshipped God. The civil aspect of the Old Covenant related specifically to daily living in ancient Israel. The moral aspect of the Old Covenant hangs on loving God and loving others. Period. Jesus clearly said so Himself.

I do not believe that Jesus came to extend ancient Judaism, or to establish Judaism 2.0; I believe He came to change the way we relate to God.

Others choose to see it differently. That’s fine with me. Those differences don’t change the reality of Jesus or His resurrection in any way whatsoever.

You and many others have stated that the requirements of salvation are 1: Love Jesus, 2: ask forgiveness of Jesus, 3: Love thy neighbor

The intent of my question is: A preponderance of conservative Christians today hate and condemn all they consider to be immoral.

How can these people possibly consider themself to be Christian when they so obviously do not love their neighbor, unless that neighbor has an identical skin tone, morality, and religious beliefs?
