On a rifle I like a Montana sling. 1” for the lightweights, 1.25” for the heavyweights

On my shotguns I’ve gone to the Quake Claw Slimline on my automatics

I’m drawing a blank on the name...

Rubber. Made in USA.

Dude makes corny homemade commercials.

I’ve got a couple. I like em.

Oh yeah.

Slogan outdoors sling.

I like the Quake Claw sling. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1685105122 Doesn't slide off my shoulder or absorb water.
I recently ordered one of the Boonie Packer Safari Slings. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2262497974 I'm anxious to try it out in the field.

Another vote for Slogan Outdoors "Ultimate Sling".
I tried one last season, and it works exactly as well as advertised.
I had knee replacement shortly before deer season, and required a walking stick (re-purposed ski pole) to navigate uneven terrain.
I was able to carry my muzzleloader hands-free, and it never budged.

Quake
the Claw

It’s ugly, and probably won’t look good on Grampie’s inheritance-baby hand me down fancy rifle.

A rubber sling is the only way to go, IMHO.

My favorite is a sling I make from some kind of green, military surplus, carry strap. I'ts about 2 inches wide, and made of some kind of cotton canvas. I take the hooks off of each end and replace them with a quick detachable swivel. It doesn't slip on my shoulder, really spreads the load, it's easy to adjust and is very light weight. The last ones I bought were about $3.50 each.

I used the Quake for many years without complaint. I needed another sling and someone here mentioned the Slogan sling. I emailed him a a question and the owner called me back in about half an hour. I consider that somewhat rare these days. I don't have as many miles on the Slogan but it is the better design.

Those stretchy neoprene butler creek slings are good. They stretch so if you need to run or hop off a ledge the rifle sling absores some shock from your shoulder. They also dont slip off the shoulder. They also have 4 catridge loops.

I have a pair of neoprene slings from Beartooth Products, although I'm not sure if they're still available. Anyway, I like them.
