Well, no luck on the Tikka T3x so I decided to re-barrel the Remington. I went a little crazy.

Northland Shooters supply

Criterion Remage Barrel 1/9 twist
Barrel Nut
Barrel nut wrench
Heavy Lug
Action wrench
Lug Tool
$577

The of course I need a barrel vice, Optics Planet for $80

I bought a Choate stock for $220 but then decided to up scale. A Kinetic Research Group Chasis, of course with the no tool butt, aluminum not plastic. a 5 round AICS mag.
$500 there.

All in I guess, hope I get what I paid for.

I'll use the Choate stock on another 700 I have floating around, and of course I now have the tools.

The diet will be 55 grain, probably build a 68 grain load just to be able to.

I’d set it up for long bullets, but that’s just me.

Beyond simple curiosity I don't see the point in that around here.

Be careful ordering from Optics Planet, often they list items as in stock when they are not - might be a while before you receive that order.

Sounds like a fun project. I have never used a Criterion barrel but have heard nothing but good about them. Will be curious how yours does

If I don't get what I ordered in two weeks I'll cancel and go local. The few $$$ saved ain't worth the hassle. If it's not in stock they need to say so before the order is placed.
