Name that rifle- I have limited info on this gun and I’m not a Sako nut. Can anyone tell by the pics which model Sako this is?

Hard to tell from the pics. It's either a Sako 75 or 85 Stainless. I want to lean towards a 75.

Sako 75. Not hard to tell by the stock.

While the 85 never had the key lock on the rear of the bolt some 75's did as does this one.

I like the old L-61’s, never had one that wasn’t a great shooter.

+1.......

I just recently ran across an extremely clean AV in 7MM Rem Mag..... Its a very nice handling rifle.

I'm sure that it will be a flame thrower and a noise maker as it's one of the 20"' barreled carbines that Sako turned out at the time. I cant decide whether I want to shoot it in full sunlight or wait until near sundown to see the flame it puts out. laugh

It's official. I missed the selfie deadline so I'm Maser's sock puppet because rene and the Polish half of the fubar twins have decided that I am.

BR, I just bought an AV .338. Unfired. I'm in the same predicament. Might double check your measurement. Mine is 18.5"

Do the 75s have the same problem as the 85s, with ejected cases hitting the scope, especially in LA calibers?

No. The 75 should work just fine!

Sako... or Berretta messed up the bolt head and placement of extractor on the 85.

My hunting partner has a SS 75 in 300Win Mag. It's been topped with a 3-9x36 Zeiss Diavari C, 3.5-10x40 Leupold, 2.5-10x42 Nightforce, and 2-12x50 Swaro. To my knowledge, there isn't any brass bonking the scope.
