I have one of these on the way. It has the T-Plex reticle and capped turrets. Planning on mounting it on a stainless Howa 6.5 Creed. This will be my first Tract scope. What are your experiences with this model. How does it compare to say the Swarvoski Z3 or Meopta Meopro? Thanks

Don’t own one keep in mind but I have shot with some. Far superior to the meopta in optical performance and an overall nicer build quality.

I’d buy one in a second if I were in need. Built by kamakura iirc...top notch

Mine has the BDC reticule. In my opinion it has much better glass than the Z3 and the adjustments are spot on.

I used one of the 2-10 w/Tplex for a couple of years really hard and it's a great scope. I've played musical scopes with it on a couple of rifles and did a lot of dialing with it. It always tracked and returned to zero for me. I really like the option to have a zero stopped turret that I can cap or leave uncapped....great simple design.

Right now it's sitting in the safe.....I need to get it back on something.

My 3-15x has been excellent over the past 4 years.

It is a distinct step up from the Meopro and -- in my limited experience with one -- edged out the Swaro Z3 3-10x42 in terms of resolving power. If Tract ever offers a 30mm hunting scope with illumination, I plan to buy one for myself.

Would this work for you. I just got one, but haven't been able to ring it out yet.

With the entire reticle lighting up, it most likely would not cut it for my usage. Close to 3 years ago, I chatted with them and was told a simple duplex/dot setup was on the agenda. The glass is exceptional for the price point, and if they did the illumination the right way, they'd have a winning combo for sure.

I have the same scope and like it. IMO, much better optically than the Z3, dawn to dusk and in between, dunno about the Meopta. I don’t dial but the adjustments are crisp and concise. A very nice scope.....

That makes sense. I like the way my NF SHV lights just the center.

How’s the size of the view through that Toric 2-10x42? Is it a small tunnel view with lots black around the image or is it a comfortable larger view that fill most of the ocular like a Leupold ?

Exactly what I'm wondering I like to have a full view eyebrow and not constricted with a black edge.

The scope arrived over the weekend and I have had a chance to look it over pretty well. I am impressed with it. The eye box seems forgiving, eye relief is long and it does not suffer from the tunnel effect. It reminds me of looking through an older Zeiss Conquest MC with slightly better glass. It does not have a very long tube though. Mounting on long action may be problematic depending on the mount system you use. I tried to mount it on a Weatherby Vanguard 270 with the two pieces Talley bases and rings and I would not fit. Switched out to Talley lightweights and no problem.

I think you will enjoy this scope, mine is the 1" tube choice and it is on my Tikka which is the only one I've been hunting with in the past several years.

It's quality seems to me to be among the scopes costing much more, including the Zeiss HD5 another personal favorite.

Finally took the scope out for a spin today. So far I am impressed. Adjustments were spot on and image very clear at all power settings. No problem hitting pieces of clay pigeons at 300 yard berm with Weatherby Vanguard 270. Other than the strange color choice (it is growing on me) and the relatively short tube, I would not change a thing.

I had one of the now-discontinued Tekoas, and it was excellent, but seemed way too big on my rifles for a 1” scope, and the turrets were too tall for a hunting scope. Great glass and I really like the T-plex. Mostly using Burris and have several Trijicons now as well. I'm really impressed with the Trijicons for $650-$900 or so with excellent illumination.

What fresh Hell is this?
