With what has happened with Marlin I started looking. I have a pretty nice '57 M39. Really not a fan of "bling" but I ran across a pretty good deal on the NIB "39". Fit and finish is flawless. The checkering is perfect (machine or hand?). I hope to shoot on Wednesday.

I wonder if Ruger will bring back the Marlin 39.I paid $125 for mine in 1975.They are great rifles.Well built and shoot great.

That's the nicest one I have seen, it would be even nicer if it just had the gorgeous wood without the rest of the bling. I have three 39s,non come close to the showpiece this one is but the their all shooters.
