For the LEO guys out there. What duty boot do you recommend? Needs to be black, and comfortable to wear all day yet get the job done.

My feet aren't long, just xx wide, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance

The best boots I ever wore were Danners. The Arcadia or the Fort Lewis.

I’ve gotten good mileage out of some danners. Haix are good boots too. Currently wearing the blauer crush boot.

danners.

currently wearing the under armor boots. very comfortable but don't hold up. Agency buys them so it doesn't matter to me.

Civil service employee thinking right there. The taxpayers buy your boots and it damn sure should matter.

Not Leo.

But i do walk concrete all day.

Check and see if thorogoods makes something like that.

I do think they make the shiny dress shoes, but maybe not a duty boot.

Here ya go.
Under 60 bucks.
Lightweight, durable, comfortable as heck once broken in.
Easy to run in.
Steel flexible plate in the tread.
Takes a easy brush shine for appearance.
Can clip a nice gerber dirk onto the upper band.
Good hard high front tread profile, kick the fugg outta someones noggin or other choice areas.
Good concentrated heel area seperate from the rest of the tread to foot stomp the fugg outta someones metatarsal foot bones.
LEO types are basically at war nowadays at any given moment.

You need a fighting boot .
Not a glorified sneaker boot.

I am a Danner guy , but I wear a size 15 narrow, so am hard to fit. My last pair lasted me 20 years for hunting and hiking. For work boots these last several I have been buying Rocky's , they are affordable and have held up surprisingly well.

Danner Acadia. Comfortable with support, and getting them re-soled is a plus.

Danner lookout. I wear the 5.5" but they make an 8" too of you like the full height.

Been very pleased with them and I've tried lots of others. When these wear out I'll be ordering another pair.

I had the same experience. The UA pair I had(I forget what model) were very comfortable, and the lightest boot I've ever worn. But they didn't even last a year. Had they lasted I would have stayed with them.

But I don't want to buy new boots every 8 months.

Danner Acadia hands down, I have worn them for over 30 years now. You can also have them resoled when that time arrives.

Converse and U/A are pretty comfortable. Hard to beat Danners for comfort and durability.

Used to be a Danner guy. Until I started wearing Under Armor.

The ones they make today seem to last longer than a few years ago but they are so comfortable I don’t give a fugk how long they last. You can legit run/sprint in them too, and they’re available in double EE and all that other hobbitt looking schit if you need it.

If you’ve never tried a low cut, I highly recommend them. Boots are stupid.

And if you haven’t stood on one of those little arch determination thingies and bought insoles accordingly, you need to. They make a big difference.

I liked a side zip tactical type boot. They aren't usually too heavy or hot like a hunting boot, and you can get them on and off fast once you adjust the laces.
