Also, if you're tracking people you need to wear REAL moccasins.

Gotta remember that. I just got my deer hide back from the tanner. Maybe I should whip some up. Hair in or hair out I wonder?

How much tracking skills do you need to follow KFC napkins and grape koolaid packets?

Danner or Rocky. I have a pair of Rocky Portlands that I have more than ten years of daily use on. The lining is shredded along the seam up the back, but they're still structurally sound and take a spit shine.

Hair out for traction on snow and slippery rock.

Straight leather soles suck on slick stuff.

I used some steel toe protector stuff, like bedliner, on the bottom of my hunting mocs.Probably work for popo jobs. wink

Having served almost 40 years in the military and law enforcement my suggestion is .... the ones that fit and are comfortable.

I wear a size 17. I found it difficult, during my entire HS, College and adult career as an athlete, paratrooper and LEO/Contractor, to find duty boots that were comfortable and supportive.

I wish you good luck.

used to wear Danners, now they hurt my feet. Tried Under armour, didn't last a year. Settled on the Salomon Forces, they are very comfortable

Danner here. Most recently the Blackhawk II but several pair of the Patrolman over the decades. They can be reconditioned and resoled for about a 3rd the price of new.

Not A LEO, but the most comfortable out-of-the-box boots I've ever had are the Sketchers I bought about a year ago. Light, and very cushioned sole/insole. We'll see how they hold up, but man are they comfortable.

Can I get a pic of the path from your couch to your fridge to your toilet, your douche bag and back to the couch?

While you're at it, show us a pic of your open-toed sandals, chicken legs.
