Bullchit..10 speeds are pretty decent trannys developed by GM & Ford..

I've only heard good things about the 10 speed. I have the 8 speed.

Joint development of the transmission, independent development of the control program. Haven't heard of any Ford problems, only GM problems.

Must not be looking because I’ve seen many more Ford complaints than Chevy. Not to mention Ford has a class action lawsuit against them, over the tranny issues...

I also have a 10spd Chevy with 50k+ miles of heavy towing with zero issues.

Same here on the 10 speed GM tranny in a 2020 Yukon with 6.2 engine.

55 1/2T SB, 59 Apache (wife's), 92 dually for the TC and pulling the tractor or dump trailer, and a 13 1/2T Silverado. All Chevys, no problems. Owned Fords and Dodges over the years but the only ones still here are the 1st 4 listed. Looking to replace the 13 1/2T with 50K on the clock with a 3500 or 4500 4x4 for the camper, maybe, the trick is finding a reasonable mileage pre DEF southern truck.

I have a 2019 RST, got the rear window leak fixed. I love the truck. Comfortable, plenty of power averaging 20 MPG with a 5.3 makes me very happy. BUT, I have a high frequency vibration that occurs at 72-74 mph that changing the fluid did not fix. This truck has the 8 speed trany. You feel it in the door panel and console and puts you to mind of a song with a lot of bass... I drive a lot, 25,000 in less than a year. So you could say I live in this truck. It is by far the most awesome ride I’ve been in...

I had a tundra. Traded it in at 200k. Would like a new one but the gas mileage is piss poor and I get paid mileage.

I just traded in my 2014 Silverado, it had 130,000 miles on it, but I feel like every time I got it inspected it was another $1,000. I had a 2007 before that required a lot less maintenance (at 156,000 miles on it). I went with a Ram this time, I’ve got less than 1,000 miles on it and have only had it 2 weeks now, so no idea what maintenance is going to be like, but this is one comfortable truck. I don’t tow anything at the moment, but for every day driving, this has a lot more power than the 5.3L V8 in both my Silverado’s. I’m happy with my choice, but my opinion will be a lot more important after owning it for 3-4 more years.

Tundra’s last forever!! I had one until my son totaled it. Keep up on the maintenance and they will outlast your payments by many years.
...

Except for the ones where the rear end rusts off, or the front drive train falls apart, or the engine grenades, or the tranny pukes with less than 10k miles, or the paint flakes off. The rest of them are good (ish).

I'm on my 3rd dodge.truck. First was a 98 with the 318. I put around 250,000 on it sold it to youngest daughter for a dollar. She put over 100,000 on and sold it to her BILIt was.very comfortable and in our family for about12 years. Second was a 3/4 ton had 116,000 when I got it we put 250,000 on it before the engine.loocked.up. it was even more comfortable than the 98 half ton. Now we.have a 02 half ton 4x4. Had 129,000 on it and.we.have put about 40,000 on it so far. Not quite as comfortable as the other.2 but plenty of room and comfortable. I have found if you keep the maintenance up they seem to last forever. Found out with the 3/4 ton the hemi engine is actually the Mercedes engine. A regular tune up doing it youselfis about $1400. When this one lays down I will probably but another 3/4 ton dodge without the hemi if that is an option. Comfortable and dependable, what more can you ask?

Just curious. What is there in a DIY regular tune up for 3/4 Dodge Hemi that would run $1400?

Toyota fan here. I have a 2008 Tundra with 154,000 miles. This is what I have had to do to it: left front turn signal bulb, and a set of rear brake pads at 153,000 miles, the front pads are at 50% still, LOL. After a 10,000 mile break in, I went to Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil with changes every 10,000 miles. The oil level is still on the full mark when I drop it at the next service.

Tony.

I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.
