I think the big plus of Tract is they use SCHOTT HT glass made in Germany

They use Schott HT glass but that doesn’t mean it’s made in Germany. Schott has facilities in Asia as well. I’ll say this...it’s my honest opinion that the 8x42 Tract offers an alpha quality view. Simply fantastic

Can tract binoculars be mounted to a tripod?

I bought a 8x42 after the season and haven’t had em out of the house yet. Was looking for something a little smaller and lighter than my 10x42 meostars but with quality glass. Hopefully these will fit the bill perfectly.

So, are they smaller? side-by-side pic?

It appears that you can only purchase Tract optics direct from Tract. Is that correct?

There are 2 rules to success: 1. Never tell everything that you know.

I think in the fall of this year or in 2022 they plan to offer a 30-32mm. That has my interest..
Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?

The tracts are actually a tad longer but aren’t as big around or as heavy.

You can see a fairly significant weight difference here.

I own both the MeoStar and the tract in 8x42. The tract is the superior optic imho in all aspects. Both are excellent and alpha class imho as well

I have both, but in 10x42 and find the opposite. Meostars win for me, but the Tracts aren't very far behind.... Eyepiece is way more solid on the meopta, too.
