Utah is a big outdoor recreation Mecca....

Public Lands that would make the back east resident wanna move...please don't

Stay away...we're outta water & house prices are at $405K

But the tourists...sometimes not tourists fall off ledges while hiking/taking selfies

One of the newest sports for rock lickers is.........

'Bouldering' free climbing boulders in the canyons...crazy eh ?

Yep....big sport & brings bucks to the local economy...sort of.......

Two most recent fatalities

Yosemite picks them off here in California too. It is just opening up. Many of the deaths are drownings. People don't realize how powerful the spring runoff is and go past the rails and want to play in the water or get a a stupid selfie, slip on the rocks and they are in. Quite a few die in falls on the Half Dome hike and there are rock sheds that kill people too. Mother Nature can be a real bitch.

Fight fire, save lives, laugh in the face of danger.

Well, if you gotta go, falling off a rock in Utah isn't a bad way to go.
The scenery's good.

Snowmobiles, kayak's, 4 wheeler's, and general dumbasserly take several in the Adirondacks every year. Can't fix stupidity.

Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they want a war let it begin here.

Mother Nature is indifferent to humanity. It is fun to tweak her nose sometime just to see what you can get away with. Or you can stay on the couch.

Don't wish it were easier
Wish you were better

Stab them in the taint, you can't put a tourniquet on that.

Yeah. I went up the hard way once in the 90's.

Well, one of the easiest routes on the "hard way"

Northwest Face

We did a lot of aid climbing, that 5.12 crap a thousand feet up is for crazy/better climbers.

My parents lived in Big Fork for 30 years. There is still plenty of room up there. Especially north of Kalispell, No? grin

You’d think so. But I’m living out of my bumper pull camper moving every couple weeks!
