Does anyone here at the fire have one ? I see a few on gun broker, will the run the 32 mag and 32 longs? I'm wanting a lever gun , just can't make up my mind.

I don't know the answer to your question specifically, however I have yet to encounter a lever action rifle that wasn't sensitive to cartridge overall length.

Yes, I had mine out a couple weeks ago.

32 longs are like shooting a pellet gun. Zero recoil, fun for plinking at steel animal targets.

Like GG mentions, they have to be cycled with a little more care than full length .327 Magnums, but if kept relatively level with a smooth action they were feeding fine. You just can't go all Lucas McCain with it.

I ordered one last week. It will be in tomorrow. I will shoot it either this weekend or the following and let you know how it goes. I have a Leupold 1-4x24 to put on it.

There are shytloads of videos of people shooting Henry Big Boys in various calibers on youtube. If you pay close attention you'll see that there are very few in any caliber that reliably feed smoothly with no hitches or that eject empty cases with consistent authority. An awful lot of empties dribble out like a baby dribbling pureed carrots and barely clear the action. No thanks. I'll stick with my Winchesters and Marlins.

A deer hunting buddy has one and my 32H&R loads are much milder than the 327 I load for him.
It's a nice rifle that's fun to shoot and has us both thinking about using it for deer... Probably not legal here.
Had to drift the front site a little to get windage adjusted but that was easy too.

I bought some Swift 100 grain A-Frames. I hope to see what they do on deer.

I am pretty happy with it. I tried a variety of loads. Some were not very good. Factory 32 H&R Magnum did well. 12.5 Grains of H-110 pushing a 100 grain Swift A-turned in solid results at 60 yards. The Leupold behaved like a Leupold. It did whatever it wanted to do when adjusted. Up and down was pretty good. Left and right was a mystery. The target spot was on a target, not my tractor, when I shot it. That was my last 3 shot group.

Saddlering, it wasn't perfect cycling H&R Mag or long. It was with 327 Federal. With long, as long as the gun was level and the lever worked at medium speed it was perfect. The H&R would jam up on the last one if I was cycling as fast as I could without firing. It didn't seem to be angle sensitive.

Yes, might just have to try one of those out......don't think Marlin will be coming out with one in that caliber anytime soon......

I think I would have liked the carbine better, but those have been almost impossible to find for nearly 2 years.
