As the title says I have a Marlin 1894 CB in 45 Colt unfired. It has been in the safe vice a number of moves and now that I am retired and done gone for long periods of time, I figure it is time to break it out and see what she will do. Any suggestions on loads would be appreciated.

what are your plans with it ?

Trailboss plinker loads or knock your hat off full nuts H110/W296 loads ?

tikkanut, As for plans I really have not thought that far out on this one. When I got it I was thinking cowboy action shooting but I do not think that is in the future So plinking and maybe some hunting.

Chopped to 16"..from 20".....

Original owner chopped it from 24" to 20"

Have since removed Williams peep sight...now back to rear buckhorn

Well, 8.5 grains of Unique or Universal and a 250 grain RNFP cast bullet should do well for plinking or woods hunting.
