If negros live in Idaho Falls, there is about a 95% chance they are fine upstanding members of the community and of the Morman Church with a pretty good paying job.

Idaho Falls is about 5000 feet in altitude for one thing and covered in snow for nearly six months of the year for a second. Not a popular place for din-du-nuffins.

I read this story, and I have to ask my wife, "What the Hell kind of trauma does a 12 tear old girl have to suffer to elicit such an act?"

I am totally baffled! I have no idea what could foster such anger in a child. Well I guess I do have a few ideas what could. But any guesses would be way to close to being an accusation and I will not go there.

I knew a couple of "black" folks when I lived in IF. One was a lady that worked at the site, smart as a tack. The other was the gentleman that owned the "Southern Kitchen" restaurant, making soul food. I say "black" as they were black skinned, but not culturally black. Neither, for the record, was a member of the Mormon church. It wasn't that long ago that membership to the Mormon church was not open to darkies.

A pretty high percentage of folks from the IF area work at "The Site". I do not think "The Site" is much afflicted by "Affirmative Action".

I have been on site three times since 1975. Once for three days, and once for a full day. We ate lunch in one of their cafeterias a couple times. I noticed little evidence of affirmative action while I was there.

Yes, the LDS do still kind of cringe about letting into predominantly white congregations "those with the mark of Cain". Though, around here they proselytize heavily in the Mexican communities, and I know missionaries who have served in Black Communities.

The comment about any black person in IF being Morman was TIC. Too bad we do not have a proper emoji for that.

Oh, the site is doing all the affirmative action attempts, and has gotten their butts in a sling numerous times for not being "diverse" enough. Trust me, if you sit down to pee, you've got bright career prospects unless you really step in it.

Nevertheless, they are simply unable to hire black candidates for any position. From my conversations with the black lady I mentioned, in general blacks are absolutely mortified by the very IDEA of living in Idaho. They just know there will be burning crosses, lynchings, six months of snow, and no place that knows how to cut their hair.

Well, the last one is true.

WTF, when I was in 6th grade bullies were tuned up w/ a 28" Louisville Slugger at night w/ no witnesses. Kids today are such attention whores.

I'll try to find out more tomorrow. I'm not going to assume anything at this point because crazy comes in all colors and types. We have neighbors that go to the school so I'm sure we'll hear all about it soon.

You could have guns all over the house but the most dangerous thing your child will ever have is a cellphone. Combine one of those with a lack of parental awareness and you can have a deadly combination for the child and others. GD
