I was in the Rotary Club for 35 or so years. We raised a lot of money internationally to fight and try to eradicate polio. We also supported programs in some third world countries and helped provide relief aid to areas of the world that were hit by disasters. We did some things locally like supporting and sponsoring youth athletic leagues. It was a good way to meet others and get involved in the community.

Lion for nearly 30 years.
Scholarships for graduating seniors, vision screening for grade school kids, etc.
Our club pretty much sticks with local activities.
Always drink upstream from the herd...cowdoc...

been a moose for almost 40 years. they are an excellent organization and do great things for disadvantaged kids and old people. google Mooseheart and Moosehaven. plus the clubs are usually well run, with good kitchens, cheap drinks and good entertainment like dances, etc. my parents were big clubbers. moose, legion, vfw, elks, improved order of red men, etc. they had a ball when they retired with all the other oldsters.
