After losing my boy Cody back on Feb 27th, I didn't think I would get another dog. Then coming home everyday and no dog waiting for me, I started to think about maybe getting a pup. Called Nebraska and talked with him about trying to find a pup. He had a lead for me. Also talked to Kingston, he provided a lead for me also. Thanks to both of you. Decided to take the plunge and get a pup. Picked up the pup on April the 8th. This is Abby. A female Yellow Lab. Thanks for all the words of encouragement when I lost Cody. I know about one getting under your skin and then losing it. Fortunately this last one I got is a jerk. Doubt I'll miss it when it goes, but it's my do or die hunting pardner whether I want it to be or not. Can't fault it's ability. So.

I was happy to have our yellow lab for 8.5 years. Hard to say goodby, and hard to get another pup for sure.
Anyway, I had sense enough to take a picture of here every Sunday for a year when she was a pup. I had her lay on a rug that had lab pics on it for reference.
Really cool to see them grow, and glad I have those pics and memories.

TerryK, that is what I am doing, pics and a lot of video, at least cell phones have that goin for them. Had Cody cremated and have instructions that when I pass, I will be cremated and we are going in the hole together.
