Wife and I keep seeing these blooming trees this week. I wanted to get a couple I guess, so knowing the name would help.

Thanks guys. Very good to know. Makes sense now, these were in areas where there is more acid in the soil. In my valley we are limestone. I tried dogwood and they just barely hung in there for years then died. Same with rose of sharon, limestone poured out he bark. Pear trees love this soil.

Check out redbuds if you’re not familiar. Will grow in alkaline soil.
