For all intents and purposes isn’t the Creedmoor cartridge line simply the Ackley cartridges renamed for a new generation of shooters?

Sure, just ignore all the gyrations that go along with AI.

Still no.
If you place a 260 Rem case, a 260 Rem AI case and a 6.5 Creedmoor case next to one another the difference will be immediately apparent.

Ballistically -0- difference. It may be " the modernized/standardized/optimized version of the 6.5x55 /.260." But it is in absolutely no way improved, better than, superior, superseding, etc. It is however the answer to a non existent question, filling a non existent need, except to a sales staff.

A 6.5x47 Lapua enthusiast may be able to express this opinion with credibility, but based on your presentation here I doubt you understand that cartridge either.

I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

Basically, yes. It depends on what version of the .250AI you're discussing, the Ackley or RCBS. The Ackley Improveds all used 40-degree shoulders, the RCBS versions 28 degrees.
As has been mentioned before a bunch of times here, 30 degree shoulders have proven to result in more consistent velocities (because they result in more consistent pressures) than angles of even 25 or 35 degrees. This obviously doesn't matter for deer hunters who never shoot beyond even 400 yards. but it does for target shooters, even 100/200 yard benchrest shooters.
If somebody wants to feel superior because they kill deer consistently at 300+ yards with a cartridge using a shoulder angle different than 30 degrees, then why not?

Here is a pic of the 6.5 Creedmoor, 260 Remington, and 260 AI. That Creedmoor case looks perfect. I'd consider one if I wasn't so setup in 7mm-08 stuff. I'm not sure I could stomach telling anyone I had a Creedmoor though. Maybe change the name or something. Teedmoor has nice ring.

The 6.5-06 is waving its surrender flag at the 6.5 PRC The 6.5/06 worked OK but never had the panache of my 256 Newton. PRC? Pretending to be a Real Cartridge. GD

Most cartridges are just other cartridges with some dimensional changes.
