Bought one of the Brownells 6cm barreled actions off a member here a while ago.

While hunting for a stock on Gunbroker, I found a hidden gem. I knew what it was immediately, but it was so poorly bedded and covered in layers of crappy paint that the seller listed it as a plastic stock. Nope- Brown Precision. $65 later (you read that right) and it was mine. I removed the old pad and installed a new ultralight pad. All the old paint is stripped, and ready for something new.

I love DBM-equipped rifles, so I added an Atlasworx aics DBM and trimmed the excessively-long lever to something more reasonable.

For those that have seen my paint work before, I'll be doing another flectarn on this one, although in a red/gray/black patter my kiddos will dig.

Not to shabby for about $400.

I bought a Japperby VG 308(their best action) with a bent barrel,in a McMillan OEM stock for 300 clams. Rebarreled it 1-8" 7-08 throated for 180 Smooches and tossed it into a Boyd's T-hole Sporter. Took my Brownell's Seex Kreedmire barreled action, poked it in that McMillan and am rocking THE fhuqk outta it with 105/8's. Hint.

Colin makes VERY good stuff and I'm admittedly a Mag Catch Trimmer of repute. Often re-spring 'em to boot and sometimes double up on same. Nice that he includes a second pitch. Hint.

I shoot AICS DBM's on a coupla Seex Kreedmires, but the Howie don't need the added COAL with 105/8's,though certainly do with 110's. Skookum parcel, for certain. Hint...................

I just have one of the old Midway weaver tactical they sold a few years ago, 3-10 with a 1" tube, exposed mil dials and mildot reticle. It's bounced around d a few rifles, but has been a solid, light, repeatable scope this far. May swap it for a SS 3-9, but I'm thinking the weaver will stay for now.

It's hard not to like the whole setup. I with at least the barrel was SS, but can't complain given the cash outlay.

We can do something about the barrel not being SS if you are interested in a slightly larger hole in the barrel and threads. I have a 6.5 creedmoor barreled action with a 22" threaded #2 sporter barrel that I'd like to swap for a 6CM BA plus a little cash.

Have you considered sending barreled action off for nitride for ~$150?

Looking forward to finished pictures

That's the best looking $65 Brown Precision stock I've seen all day!

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!
