My Dad, who hasn't driven in some years, is the original owner of a 1979 Lincoln Town Car with approximately 78,000 miles. Pretty much loaded, gold with gold velour interior, garaged, original. Up until about three years ago I would drive it when in town but finally it quit running and we couldn't find anyone who knew how to get it running again. Electrical problems, we believe.
What's the best way to sell such a vehicle? When I say "best", I mean how to produce the most money for the least amount of work/expenditure? The amount of interest this car generated when I would drive it was shocking; surely someone would really like to get their hands on it, get it running and show it off. But who and how?
All ideas are welcomed.
Thanks, RS Sell it in a groid area. Them darkies love them things. Do it up all right and turn into some conestoga wagon looking thing with big tall wheels , thin tires, and some type of candy bar themed paint job. Housing project cruiser....

My grandma had a ‘76 model. Had a 460 c.i. with 4 bbl , thing would cruise. My grandma had the same car. Brown. Us grandkids did our best to wear out the motors/switches in the power seats/windows. It was LONG GONE before I was ever old enough to drive. I can recall my dad taking us out for a ride and getting it up over 100MPH once, but, I don't recall it being "set you back into your seat" powerful.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

Some charities will take it and you can claim a deduction on your taxes.

Bring it to Las Vegas and auction it off at the Italian/American Club and make serious bank.
Of course you would have to listen to a bunch of old Vitos in track suits tell you about the good old days when they ran the town.

If it's true to the name, you'd end up owing money after making the donation... The funny thing is that my brother has a Town Car (I think it's a '93) that he uses to drive from his home in Florida to our land in Alabama. He's the pimpest Kike in Alabama, all the black folk love his ride.
